summer pizza...in the fall

i had a craving for this delightful, little treat on sunday. doesn't it just make your mouth water? it was as good as it looks. i remember the first time i had this, it was at my friend, summer's, house. i thought it was named after her....maybe it was.

i had to make myself a treat because i was feeling a little bit sad...you see, i finally moved within a 10 minute drive of my dear sister, faye, and what did she do? she up and sold her house of 17 years and moved away! okay, so she only moved another 10 minutes or so farther down the road, but still! i have to say, though, the new house she moved into just seems to fit her family so well. when i was helping her move the boxes in, i felt like i was walking into THEIR home, as if they had always lived there. it will be such a fun place for them. it has a big, open kitchen/family room area...the one thing her other house never had. congratulations on finally finding the right place, faye! here she is cleaning out the fridge in her old place...man, that place was a dump! (totally wasn't)

and last night i went out with my roommate, an old friend from wendy's, and a new friend from school. it was like all of my worlds colliding in the perfect way. we went out to dinner and then bowling. i rock at bowling, although my bowling score wasn't quite as high as my miniature golf scores usually are. here's a photo to prove just how great i am....so great, my alias is "wonder woman":

ya, that's right. i owned that 87! wonder woman, indeed! obviously jazzy jazz belongs to some sort of elite bowling league or something and that darn thor, he beat me by 2 measly points. that's okay, 3rd still gets a medal, right?

matt (thor) and me (wonder woman):

me (either praying that my fellow bowlers won't hate me for my skills, or watching tv while i bowl):

lance (l panic) and jasmine (jazzy):

it was a super fun night. i can't believe i only have one more month of my first semester of ota school. crazy. i hope the rest of the time flies by as quickly. i think i'm just going to hang out up here for thanksgiving since i'll be making the trip south for christmas break, which is like 4 weeks long. i'm sure the turkey dinner at the village inn down the street from my house will be plenty tasty. mmm.mmm.good. of course, not nearly as good as my summer pizza!

***i have been invited to logan for some tofurkey. yippee! sorry, village inn, maybe next year!***

***SUMMER FRUIT PIZZA RECIPE***

one pouch of bettty crocker sugar cookies (and whatever ingredients that calls for, maybe some butter and an egg?) mix the dough as it calls for on the pouch, either make individual cookies, or as I did, one giant cookie sheet full.

while that's baking, mix together one small tub of cool whip, one package cream cheese, and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. set aside until cookie cools.

while cookie is cooling, wash/cut/prepare whatever fruits you want to use. my favorites are peaches, raspberries, kiwis, and bananas (but only slice the bananas right when you're ready to serve it, or they brown) but you can use anything. try to avoid the really JUICY fruits, like canned pineapple, mandarin oranges, unless you are eating it right away, they make the cookie soggy.

when the cookie is cooled down, frost and top...enjoy!

Mmmm. That summer pizza looks delicious. I want some. You know...you could always hang out over here for Thanksgiving...play a little Rock Band...just a suggestion. We have the new Beatles edition. Pretty fun...if you're into that sort of thing.

Your summer pizza looks so good, I might have to try it. I haven't been bowling in a while, I might have to give it a go!

Yummy! That summer pizza looks so good! If we were going to be here for Thanksgiving we'd have you over, but we'll be in California. We do need to get together soon though.
