jinkies! it's halloween!

boo! i just returned from a rockin' halloween party at my friend debra's house. she is a classmate of mine and she hosted a super fun party. i, of course, spent most of the evening playing rockband, but i did branch out and play the drums and sang a little bit. in case you don't know, i dressed up as velma from scooby-doo. i have always been in love with that show, especially the mystery van. as you can tell, i got into the scooby snacks and ate them ALL!

debra had a giant display of food and games set up in her garage. one whole table was filled with raw pieces of strange meat in vacuum-packed plastic. she knows a butcher who got her some strange animal body parts and we had to try to figure out what they were and which animal they came from. there was an eye, heart, kidney, trachea, testicles, and a tongue. it was sick, but awesome. it was no worse than our cadaver lab, that's for sure. too bad they can't vacuum pack that.

i made a yummy toffee dip for apples. i got the recipe from matt, if you want to try it out, here's how to make it:

1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4+ c white sugar (either confectioner or granulated)

blend together with hand mixer then add

1/2 c smashed up heath bar...i used pre-crunched toffee bits

slice apples, dip, and enjoy.

hope you all had a fun halloween. mitchel sent me some photos of maggie's costume. silly maggie, chocolate's for kids!

if you have a mystery to solve, give me a call!

Christin,

I totally agree! The live action movies are ridiculous. I don't like them, but as a child, I loved the cartoons.

P.S. I have a 10 year old that would have gone crazy for the vacuum bagged body parts! Awesome!
