flashback

i was babysitting the other day and i had to drop one of the girls off at their cousin's house to play. when i got there, i invited myself in to have a tour of the cousin's new home. it was beautiful.

when i walked into one of the rooms, i saw someone i haven't seen in YEARS. probably close to 25 years. he was one of my very best friends when i was younger. one morning, when i was about 4 years old, i walked into my family's living room, wearing only my underwear, and HE was sitting on our couch. i was so excited to meet him, i didn't even go put my clothes on. i was sort of an exhibitionist. (did i say was?)

anyway, when i saw him again, i had the same sort of reaction, but i was wearing more clothes this time. he hasn't changed one stinkin' bit...well, his voice is a little different.

anyway, i took a photo of the two of us, together. i was glad to learn that he still felt the same way about me, the two of us are seriously the perfect fit, when it comes to friendships.

everyone....meet my long-lost friend....SYLVESTER!!!

yes, i got a sylvester dummy for Christmas in 1978 (i think). i loved that doll, but one day my cousin greg and i tried to make him eat a brownie. he couldn't chew it very well, so we gave him some milk to help wash it down. it didn't take long for his milk-soaked cotton body to stench it up. nasty. so, it was nice to see him again...many years later...smelling so much better. i wanted to try to sneak him out of that fancy new house, but i refrained. it was so good to see him.

I laughed my head off at the brownie comment.

i had no idea you had chucky as a friend. it makes sense why i had nightmares so often when we shared a room...

sorry Danelle, but that is one freaky looking doll. That's way worse than the crazy cat. Now I'm the one with the racing heart. :)
