suite 16 party

i'm beginning to feel a lot like little orphan annie. i have no money, but thanks to generous friends and family i have experienced SO many fun adventures this past year. just last week i got to go to the musical The Wedding Singer with my sister, faye, and her two kids, parvati and kirby. (no christin, those aren't their real names) and that was super fun.

then on friday night i got to go to the tim mcgraw concert. and i don't mean i just went to the tim mcgraw concert. NO. i was given a free V.I.P. pass to the tim mcgraw concert. todd had two of them, and then he ended up not being able to go, so he gave them to me. i know a lot of you would have liked to have been my date, cuz everyone wants to date me, but i wanted to go with faye. i knew she would love it. the following is a bit of a brag-fest about our AMAZING night. don't hate me because i'm a spoiled little orphan girl (minus the no-family part).

Okay, so we got to the venue around 5:30pm and got to park in the special v.i.p. lot. my feet were so happy to only have to walk about 50 yards.

we went through the special gate and got our wristbands, then went to find where our seats were going to be. and here is what we found out...we were in SUITE 16:

it was right in the corner, so we had no one in front of us (sidewalk), no one to our right (stairs), and no one behind us (sidewalk), so we only had people sitting to our left and they were a good 5 feet away from us. we had our own tables and cushioned chairs, and an attendant named tom, who would be at our beck and call and get us anything we needed throughout the night. tom was of no use at all when i needed to pee, though.

after we found where we would be spending the rest of the evening, we went to grab our FREE dinner at the v.i.p. patio.

we got spare ribs, chicken, potato salad, baked beans, corn, jalepeno corn muffins, watermelon, and a drink:

after we ate, we went back to our private suite, sat at the table, and got ready for LOVE & THEFT to take the stage. neither of us had ever heard of them, so we were both pleasantly surprised by how much we liked their stuff...and by "stuff" i mean faces (and music). those poor boys had to sing in the bright sunlight...all that sweat glistening off their pretty little selves.

then lady antebellum did their thang. i thought i only knew the 1:15 song, but it turns out i knew a couple others.

i called my niece, penny, to let her hear part of the song...and to brag. because seriously, this was awesome. and then the real excitement began. while 22,000 of us sat and waited, i had tom bring me an icy-cold dasani water, so my screamer wouldn't dry out, and to wet my whistle in anticipation for:

and here are a couple more photos of tim mcgraw, every guy should look this good in jeans:

and here he is with my friend, sandra, starring in the blindside. i wasn't there when this photo was taken, but when faye and i were leaving the concert, via our v.i.p. parking lot, tim's black tahoe & police escort were right in front of us...i could have almost rear ended him. almost.

it was seriously one of the best nights ever. i felt like michael oher living in the tuohy's lap of luxury. i know how lucky and blessed i am to have my life...i am happy.

Ooh fun! It's great to see pics of "Faye" since I don't think I've seen her in about 20 years! I love a little quality sister time.

I'm really sad you didn't invite me. And by sad, I mean not at all because I hate country music. And if I hear that 1:15 song one more time, I am growing to rip out my stereo with my bare hands and throw it out the window.
