one up

last night i was walking into a restaurant, with matt and todd, when out of the corner of my eye i spotted something that almost made me pee my pants with excitement. (which would have been okay, because i just happened to be wearing my quick-drying, spandex workout clothes. i like to wear those to restaurants...it gives people the impression that i am a health nut, when in reality, i just like the amount of give offered by the waistband.)

anyway, back to the original story. matt saw the little piece of happiness at the same time i did and he was all, "hey, danelle, did you bring your camera?" um, yes, yes, i did. my handy-dandy mary poppins purse is rarely without my camera...or a set of utensils, a plastic top, a dozen coke reward lids, kleenex, a stapler, etc. in the following photo, you can tell exactly how excited i am because right below my normal smile there happens to be a great big second smile. see it? yep, that's how excited i was...a double smile!

afterwards, i could have choked on my burger and free onion rings (the waitress took one look at me in my exercise clothes and thought, "this little lady totally deserves some free onion rings, she looks like she's practically starving") choked, died, and gone to heaven, because one of my top bucket list items has now been crossed off:
