the jig is up...mitchel is michelle

i wanted to brag about my amazing sister, but since my family has had a standing gag order on using their real names and photos in my blog posts, it was going to be difficult. well, i decided to rebel against the rule, because michelle (previously referred to as mitchel) deserves a genuine spot on my blog for her most recent accomplishment.

(pssst....don't tell my dad this post is dedicated to michelle...today is his birthday, and since he doesn't know what a computer is, he'll never know i'm shining the spotlight elsewhere.)

michelle joined a group of 11 other amazing ladies to run the 200+ miles of the del sol ragnar relay race. she reports having a wonderful time. she ran a little under 21 miles for the team of "no boyz allowed!"

michelle is my oldest and most selfish sister. i say selfish, because she, being the oldest, took WAY more than her fair share out of the talent and beauty gene pool. she really can do almost anything. so far, the only thing i've discovered that she can't do is retrieve weighted pool rings, using only her mouth, from the bottom of an inflatable raft, which has been flooded with packing peanuts and water from the hose. yes, she genuinely sucks at that.

anyway, i don't have a lot of photos to document her amazing feat, but here she is (on the far left) with some fellow runners:



and here she is with the poster we hung on her house for when she returned home from the 4-day adventure (the poster reads, "michelle, you are amazing!" i took some liberty with the ragnar symbol, assuming everyone would realize it's the letter 'r' but apparently it is confusing to some):



i love you, michelle! and i am very proud of all the hard work you put into accomplishing this goal.
