time for a haircut

well, the snow is almost melted and it is finally warming up here, so i broke out the scissors and played puppy beauty parlor. maggie was so good while i cut about an inch and a half off of her poodle fro. she really loves being clean and pretty, i think she would like to have bows and ribbons, but i've got to draw the line somewhere. you can tell from the photo that i am no dog groomer, but she doesn't have a mirror, so she doesn't know how uneven her new cut is. she is just so excited to finally have some grass to run and play on, the snow was deeper than she is tall, so she hasn't been outside to play for a while. this whole house has hardwood floors, so she has a difficult time pouncing about inside, as well. yay for the sunshine! now if we can just figure out how to rid the largest portion of the yard of goatheads. i hate those things and poor mags can't play in that area or she gets them stuck in her puppy paws.

i am having a major study session tonight, a friend of mine is coming over to help me with anatomy and physiology and i'll help her with algebra...yes, that's right, i'm helping someone with their math. i never thought i'd see the day, this coming from the girl who took math 1010 3 times just to get a C-. i guess that's proof that an old dog can learn new tricks. i better go straighten up the house, since company is coming over. i'd hate for word to get out that i HATE housecleaning.
