a while ago i had a list of celebrities i would like to spend a day with. they were david letterman, hugh laurie, and john malkovich. well, i need to ammend that list because after watching tonight's episode of "celebrity apprentice" i want jesse james to be the new number one. this might seem like a mock post, but it's not.
did any of you see this? i was seriously trying not to blink, because my eyes were filled to the rim with tears. jesse james had a sort of intervention moment with dennis rodman. he pointed out that dennis obviously has a drinking problem. jesse was also on the verge of crying...out of frustration and concern. it really was one of the most necessarily uncomfortable moments i've ever seen on t.v. and yes, it was brought to me via grosso donald trump...whom i would NEVER want to spend the day with.
i think jesse deserves some serious respect for what he did. he said that he is an alcoholic who hasn't had a drink in 9 years, so he knows what's going on with dennis first hand. the only thing i knew about jesse james prior to this season of C.A. was that he was really scary looking, married to sandra bullock and was maybe on american choppers. i just googled him and found out he's the ceo of west coast choppers and was the host of monster garage. i need to learn more about him, because now he's one of my celebrity heroes.
he's been amazing from the beginning of the season, but tonight was extra amazing. i don't think i'm just overly emotional tonight, i think he really was great. so now i want to spend the day riding motorcycles with him...sandy can come along, too. that's cool.
my favorite part of the whole episode was when dennis rodman kept defending his drunken actions and saying that he WAS the best athlete ever and how he could kick anyone's ass at anything. to that jesse responded (out of pure love and respect, not derogatively), "why doesn't he try to kick our ass at being a good person?" that was powerful. i hope dennis got it, but that's pretty much a wasted hope.
i don't know how to link it, and i can't find it on youtube, but if you want to see the portion of this episode that i'm talking about you can go to nbc.com and choose the celebrity apprentice link then watch episode 5 chapters 10 and 11. most of it is good, ignore clint black...he's generally an idiot...which also surprised me.
i love you jesse!

I didn't see it, but after reading your post I sure wish I had!
Danelle, thanks for stopping by my blog last week! I actually came to yours, but since I was technically on a blogging hiatus, didn't comment. I LOVE your blog name!!
And I haven't seen this episode yet, but I will watch tonight. He seems like a real, genuine guy.
I will be back!
I don't watch CA, but I had watched Jesse James share a recipe with Martha Stewart last year on her show. He seemed like a nice, genuine guy, even when Martha messed up the recipe. I'll have to see if your clip ended up on youtube.
I actually hardly ever watch CA, because The Donald drives me crazy, but I happened to watch it last night. I think Jesse seems like such a good guy. And that he handled himself perfectly in a sad situation. I also felt really bad for Dennis Rodman and hope he'll get some help.
I know nothing about him, but I love what he did, very cool!
Hey, btw we're going to be in Blanding the 17-19 to see grandpa. Let's get together for lunch or something. I'd love to see you and have you meet the kids! Ooooh, want to check out your cool corlorful house too!
I love Jesse James. Jared and I use to watch his show religiously. I noticed he was on CA but haven't been able to watch the show. You have peaked my curiosity...I'll set the TIVO now! I love celebrities who are honestly genuine.
BTW Nel...I looks forward to your post. They are almost as good as the emails of our college days.
nothing will ever be as good as emails from my college days. i had nothing else going on since i generally wasn't doing homework. i have some friends who really inspired creativity. ahhhh, those were the days. too bad i let my accounts lapse so i don't have any good copies to share. they're probably better in my head, anyway.
So random that I have NEVER watched this show in my life but for some reason I caught it last night at this exact moment! I think Jesse is awesome..and since I am a huge fan of the tattooed motorcycle man(that is one of my dirty little secrets) I think he looks great..not one bit scary! Poor Dennis...totally made himself look like an idiot. I loved how Jesse truly looked like he cared! Great guy! Lucky Sandra!
