okay, so i was sitting here typing away on my computer a while ago, when the electricity went out. my house was pitch black, but i know my way around very well, i'm sort of like stevie wonderwoman in that respect. so the lack of lights didn't concern me much, but then all of a sudden, the LOUDEST, SCARIEST, most MENACING noise erupted from just outside the window i was sitting near. let's just say a change of undies was not out of the question. maggie went ba-freaking-zerk. my heart was pounding so hard, but i couldn't hear it because the noise persisted. i seriously thought someone had a monster truck in my yard and was going to crush my house with me inside. i was expecting the headlights to shine through my windows, but when there were no lights my mind finally came up with a more realistic explanation....the GINORMOUS compressor/generator thingie on the building next to my quiet, sweet, little home had turned on. this was the first time i've heard it, so it was completely foreign to me. i was glad to know it wasn't going to crush me, but there was NO way i was going to be able to sleep with that NOISE outside my bedroom window. luckily, the power came back on, my computer didn't get fried and 20 minutes later the BEAST went back to sleep. i sincerely hope that the electricity never fails in the middle of the night, because if it does i'm sure i'll go into cardiac arrest. for now, i'm just wondering how i'm going to convince my body that it is 10:30pm instead of 9:30pm. i'm not tired, but i will be tomorrow.
speaking of the time change, guess who forgot about it and pranced into sacrament meeting with a giant smile on her face...an hour late, completely confused, and then utterly humiliated once she realized what had happened. guilty.

Yikes! I would hate that noise too. Glad that it wasn't the monster truck waiting to crush you! ;) HAHA. Daylight savings sucks. That's why AZ is great! We don't deal with it, thank goodness. Are you in Blanding? We are going there on Friday!
that is TOO funny, especially since I didn't have to experience that. I would have freaked out too!
I lived alone down here in Phoenix for 2.5 years and I remember being scared occasionally...usually not though lol. I loved living alone. I remember one time a bunch of helicopters and cops were outside the apartment i lived in. It was a bit freaky. I think you story is way more freaky though! you win!
Stevie Wonderwoman! Nice.
Thanks for making me smile this morning. We had a funny church morning too, I intend to write a post about it after I read a few blogs. (Is that enough to entice you to come over and read the story?)
LOL! I would have freeeaked out!! Good thing your figured out what it was.
And, I'm so with you on the stupid time change. Luckily I didn't arrive at church an hour late...but I am SO tired!!!!
Thanks for the smiles today! xoxo
Hey! I can't thank you enough! I love my collage! You are amazing! Just wanted to let you know that I am mailing your package tomorrow after work. It's no where near as cool as your gift though... thanks again!
