optical illusion?

my friend, emmy, just sent me these photos she took of karen and me in 2006. i find them highly amusing. as you can see in this first photo, karen and i are pretty much the same exact height:

but as clearly illustrated in this photo, i am all torso, where karen is mostly legs. is it just me, or is this actually interesting? i mean, seriously, in that first photo karen is actually sitting on my bum...and we're the same height. and why are her boobies so much higher than mine? drats.

on a completely different note...i have been a bit concerned because the extraction site of my tooth just doesn't seem to be healing as quickly as i think it should, and my equilibrium seems to be off a bit. well, perhaps the shard of tooth i just pulled out of my gum line might explain part of that...and it feels like there is still more in there. needless to say, i will be making an early morning visit to the oral surgeon tomorrow to tell him he forgot a little something inside my freaking face. i swear. somebody hates me.

Your pictures made me laugh! I know how you feel. I am 5'8" and Aaron is 6'0", but I have noticed that when we are sitting in the car I am a little taller than he is! I hope Rachel inherited his leg genes. :-); February 1, 2010 at 6:45 PM
