old stories, new photos

so, remember when i fell off of a tree stump and nearly amputated my leg? well, here's the photo of the resultant giant bruise, which still refuses to go away. it's sort of cool, in a grotesque way. please note that all of the giant pores on my leg were present prior to the accident. as much as i'd like them to disappear with the bruise, i don't think that will happen. and really, when i consider that my fall from a stump could have left me with a stump, i'll gladly take the large pores.

remember when i went to the state fair for my very first time? well, here's a photo of me and parvati patil:

and here i am enjoying a treat.

here are some of the rides i didn't ride...mostly because i'm afraid that due to the consumption of too many deep-fried snickers, (actually have only eaten one...ever. see photo above) i won't fit in the safety bars:

and here is a photo of me, anxiously looking forward to the cake at faye's birthday party:

while wearing my awesome, new shirt:

on a newer note, i took one of my midterms today. it was so difficult. we don't have the results, yet, but i don't think anyone did well. i think the teachers forget that we have only been learning this stuff for a month and a half. we can barely recognize the words, let alone try to use them in a sentence! yikes. don't worry, though, i feel like by the end of two years of this stuff i'll be filling the medical journals with all sorts of amazing words....like sternocleidomastoid, longissimus thoracis, and semimembranosus...which all happen to be muscles. who knew?

Freakin' painful wound! So glad you captured it on film. I (she says guiltily) LOVE Glee, too. LOVE LOVE your shirt! Hope you did great on your midterm.
