happy birthday cristy!

today is cristy's birthday. she and i met at college because her neighbor and my roommate were wanting to get to know each other better. their relationship ended before it really had a chance to begin, however cristy and i have remained friends for 13 years now. sometimes the world works in weird ways, but i don't question the results. two of these photos are of the 4 amigos, who were never all roommates at the same time, but each lived together at some point. cristy, cat, danelle and nat. we would take trips to slc to eat at the olive garden, where we quite often ordered dessert first. cristy loved to eat little sandwiches, she always laughed at my craziness, never craved the spotlight but was admired by all, she was the smartest girl i knew, she loved to read, she knew everything there was to know about music, she had the greatest hair, she was the epitomy of "true beauty", and she loved george michael. or is it george michaels? she would know. i don't think any of these things have changed about her over the past 13 years, but now she has so much more to add to her impressive resume. she was a very calming figure in a scary, icky part of my life. she always made my home-away-from-home feel like the perfect place to be. thanks cristy. i hope you had a great birthday.

You gave the perfect description of Cristy. She is pretty awesome isn't she? I love the pictures.

I love you Nel! You are so much nicer to me than I deserve. Has it really been 13 years? That is amazing. I have no memory of the first and third pictures being taken. Where were we? And why in the world was I in a rosebush? Thanks for making my day!

the velcro roller picture was taken in our C.C. apt. The one of us on the bench was at the Olive Garden, I don't know where the one with the rock background was taken, but the one of you in the roses was me forcing you to let me take your picture..i think we were just down the street from C.C. I'm not sure. And everything I said is true, Cat even agrees.

I think the one with the rock background is at my mom's house.

Oh yes, thanks for reminding me, Cat. I should have figured, but it's been so long.
