do you know why june 21st has more sunshine than any other day of the year? because it is matt's birthday. he is so incredible that he brightens up the world! i know he adds sunshine to my life.

matt and i met over 12 years ago and we have been having adventures together ever since. we have been to a ton of places, but we have very few photos of the two of us together...if i was doing a post about me shoving food in my mouth in random cities across the world, i would have a nearly endless supply of photos, but matt's generally the one behind the camera, so i had to search a while to find these photos.
here we are with my first display of cereal box art. it is a completely different form of art than i do now, obviously, this was a very romantic breakfast arch i set up in the halls of the usu art department. matt and i were there attending jalynn's interior design senior exhibit. look at how young we were...aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, cute.

matt introduced me to the world of hiking and nature. we floated down canals and rivers, sledded off of mountain sides onto frozen lakes, wandered through fields of wild flowers, and laughed at speedo-wearing tourists.

matt even took me to arches national park for my first time. although i live very close to this park, and had driven past it numerous times, i never appreciated all the fun it had to offer. we were in search of a rock formation called "the organ" when we came across this photo op. i don't think this was the organ the park people had in mind and i doubt that most people have quite the same experience visiting arches, but this is precisely how most of my trips with matt go. now you know why i love him.

here we are on our way to vegas:

still on our way to vegas, but pretending we're in maine, which is one place we have yet to visit together:

finally in vegas, in search of a deep-fried twinkie:

there are many other great stories to tell and photos to share, i haven't even touched on great britain, but i need to end for now so that i can go give this guy a call. matt, i hope you have a wonderful birthday and i am so glad that we both ended up going on that same group date all those years ago. who knew that awkwardly singing an off-tune rendition of the ymca would end up scoring me a life-long friend? you are fantastic and i love you to death, have a piece of cake for me.

i can't wait for august.

Is Matt gay? Is he a pre-op transexual? What's going on?!? What aren't you together!! He seems like a great guy.
I truly had NO idea how perfect that rock is for that picture. I wasn't picturing a PERFECTLY GIANT ROCK PENIS when you told me that story!!! I have to see this rock..........
Matt, Happy Birthday! It has been so long since I've talked to you. I hope you are doing good and that you have a wonderful day.
Wow...he is certainly well endowed. By the way, I LOVE laughing at speedo wearing tourists. We should definitely get together and do that sometime. Clark's Market and Blanding Subway are prime locations.
Danelle, all I need is your e-mail address and you can see our blog. The baby is here and we do still have the puppies, but not for long. Luckily 3 of them are staying in Blanding, come to think of it they are all going to homes in the 6th ward as well! Anyway get your e-mail address to us somehow and we will invite you.
You can stalk our blog anytime, I have been stalking you for the last couple of months!
