surrounded by winners

check out my awesome family! my three sisters and one of my nieces ran the 5k on the 4th of july and two of my younger nieces ran the 1 mile fun run.

mitchel took 1st in her age group.
sunshine band took 1st in her age group.
faye took 3rd in her age group.
parvati patil took 3rd in her age group.

and kentucky louisiana and lou both did great in the mile run.

then on the 24th of july, matt came down and competed in the triathlon. he came in 2nd in his age group. he did awesome. here's a photo of him with his trophy...of sorts.

here are some photos of me with my medal and the mtn. dew i won in the drawing. i took first in the clydesdale division. it was exhausting.

OKAY FINE!!! i didn't really compete...or win anything. i'm just a loser, surrounded by winners. actually i did take 3rd place in a 4th of july competition once. it was a hot dog eating contest, but still...oh, i did get a free t-shirt from the 5k...just because i'm wicked awesome. woohoo!
